Ocean Drive

While conducting an analytical study of Red Hook's Community, we were assigned to look into successful streets found around the world. The main question was what made this street so successful.

For our street precedent analysis we chose Ocean Drive in Miami. We were fascinated with its compelling relationship to the water's edge with its excessively vibrant character. We noticed that Red Hook has a similarly distinct character and began to speculate about their similarities.

This is one of the images of Red Hook that we were drawn to for its proximity to the edge of the water. We thought the natural elements may have contributed to its decay over time. This established our theme of harmonizing nature and culture within our project.
